This immersive journey combines hands-on service work, outdoor exploration, and cultural discovery. From supporting rural schools and tackling plastic waste in village communities to rafting Himalayan rivers and spotting wildlife in Chitwan National Park, students gain real-world insight into global issues, teamwork, and sustainability. Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome session, program orientation, and visit Bouddhanath Stupa (UNESCO). Cultural briefing & buffet dinner.
Day 2: Sacred Sites and Cultural Foundations
Start the day with a group orientation, covering program logistics, health and safety guidelines, and cultural insights. A guest lecture will introduce Nepal’s approach to community and environmental protection. In the afternoon, explore Bouddhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where a Buddhist monk will explain the symbolism of the stupa and its ties to nature. Later, visit Soyembhunath (the Monkey Temple), a hilltop site offering sweeping views of the city.
Day 3–5: Full days of community service learning
(waste management or school improvement). Daily cultural immersion (cooking, crafts, music) & evening reflections.
Day 6: Wrap up service work
Hike and explore local landscape. Final group sharing and celebration.
Day 7: Return to Kathmandu
Farewell dinner in Thamel. Depart or continue to Add-on program.
