Are you a faculty member considering Nepal for your next study abroad or experiential learning program? Hands-On Institute’s Faculty Program Development Workshop ( Familiarisation Trip) brings you to Nepal to build your program where it will actually happen— on the ground, in the communities your students will engage with, alongside the partners who will make it work.
Over seven days, you’ll travel through our program sites across Nepal, meet community organizations, and co-design a program framework with our team. You’ll work through curriculum integration, logistics, risk management, budgeting and sustainable community partnerships and leave prepared with a concrete program plan, local institutional contacts and a clear path forward.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is designed for faculty members and program leaders who are actively exploring or planning a faculty-led short-term program and/or internships program in Nepal.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or adding Nepal to an existing portfolio, this workshop will move you from interest to action. Study abroad coordinators and administrative staff are welcome to apply if they are actively involved in developing a Nepal-specific program.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
- All in-country costs are covered by Hands-On Institute— accommodation, meals, ground transport, site visits and all workshop programming.
- Participants are responsible for their own international airfare to Kathmandu.
NOTE
If your institution would like to arrange a custom site visit on separate dates tailored to your team’s needs, contact us at bijay@onceinlife.org.
