Aapshawara Community Dalit Homestay, which started in 2016 with support from Hands-On Institute, is a remarkable and exemplary community in itself since it is the first Dalit homestay community in Nepal. It is composed of 19 houses run by “Dalits”, the so called “Untouchables”. By immersing yourself in the lives of these people, you will have an unforgettable experience. Besides, traditional skill workshops like mud ornament making, iron craft, bamboo work, learning local musical instrument can also be undertaken. The homestay also has a community hall that can accommodate up to 35 people.
